Banter was commissioned to create a promotional video campaign for Dexshell – global leaders in waterproof clothing
Dexshell has a focus on innovation and cutting edge technology which allowed the team at Banter to identify with their way of thinking. We were commissioned to create the concept for a new promotional campaign to showcase the qualities of their unique products in action.
For this project we put the whole team into action. We really wanted to get a feel for how good the product was. From trusting the waterproof socks to protect our smartphones under our changing room showers to wading through rivers we found that the products were beyond anything we’d experienced before. After testing the range first hand the team created a series of concepts for how to present these benefits in a story that would resenate with the target audience. These concepts were then whittled down into a series of storyboards. From our market research and insights we discovered that the best way to show people was from the point of view of the products themselves. Thus, a concept and a video was born.
The video campaign launched at a national outdoor event just days after the final edit. As with many video projects there was a tight deadline that we had to work within. We delivered on budget and in time for the event, assisting also with the delivery format. Since the launch event, the video has been used across all digital media channels and from the website to social media channels. On social the video has been broken down into small segments as short teasers to promote the key features of the products.
